Teresa's Thoughts

Hello dear friends!

Happy belated Valentines Day! Do you all have any special traditions? This year I helped my sister with a tea party she had for her friends - it was fun - and very pink! :)

Have you all checked out the EXCEL 32 blog? (www.excelupdate.blogspot.com)It brings back many memories as the girls of XL32 are experiencing some of the same special things we did at EXCEL! :) Let's pray for them!

Today I taught my Sunday school class and we're studying the Hebrew names of God. The name this week was El Roi, the God who sees. As I studied to teach, I began to wonder if this lesson was for the gals - or really for me! I hope they got something out of it! :)

I found strength and hope in the name El Roi this week. In the knowledge that nothing goes unnoticed under His watchful care. The daily experiences of life, the future looming before us, the struggles of this world that we continue to fight and feel alone in at times...He sees and He knows.

BUT not only does He see me and you He sees the millions of people in this vast, colorful world we live in. He sees the persecuted, the lonely, the abandoned, the hurting. And He does not just see - but He grieves for them.

In Psalm 33:13-15 it says:

The LORD looks from heaven;
He sees all the sons of men;
From His dwelling place He looks out
On all the inhabitants of the earth,
He who fashions the hearts of them all,
He who understands all their works.

He sees it all - He has fashioned our hearts - none of our works are hidden from Him. May we be grieved with the things that grieve Him. May we rejoice with things He rejoices in! Oh that our eyes would be open to His eternal perspective! After all - this place is just the waiting room to our true home - the tuning session before the symphony begins!

Love you girls! Cheering for you!

Under the watchful eyes of El Roi,
Teresa <><

*Please keep up the blog, ladies, if you can!!! :) You still have the six months schedule! You can do it!!! :)

I just had to comment!
At EXCEL we had a fingernail painting contest for Valentine's Day! It was crazy. And everyone wore pink and red. (That was kinda crazy too! :-)
